It has been a while since I updated things here. With much of the effort having been put into my Flickr page blogging can now recommence.
The welcome offering is a macro abstraction of a blue iris in a bouquet my wife received for her birthday which coincided with Father's Day in Australia.
Shot with my favourite macro combination of the EF 50mm f/1.4 prime with the EF 25 II Extension Tube, in the converted studio, I wanted to emphasize the patterns of nature rather than document just another pretty flower.
Musings on the arts especially photography which I have been indulging in having gone through film cameras graduating to the Canon EOS 650 and now exploring the flexibility which the digital format brings.
